Happenings

Happenings Connect

Run your Happenings page from Claude

Ask about sales, members or your next event in plain words. Claude works on the pages you pick, and every change waits for your yes.

What it is

Happenings Connect gives Claude the Happenings page CLI, the same commands page admins use, for the pages you choose when you connect. Claude reads events, ticket sales, orders, check-ins, members and analytics, and it can create and update events, tickets, deals and posts. It never gets more than your own role on each page allows.

Add the connector

In Claude on the web or in the desktop app:

  • Click Customize in the left sidebar, then Connectors.
  • Click the plus icon and choose Add custom connector.
  • Name it Happenings Connect and paste this URL.
https://api.happenings.social/mcp

ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients use the same URL. In Claude Code it is one command.

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http happenings-connect https://api.happenings.social/mcp

Claude plugin

The connector, a skill that teaches Claude the commands, and four ready-made commands in one file. Add it in Claude under plugins.

Sign in and pick your pages

  • The first time Claude uses the connector, a Happenings window opens.
  • Sign in with your Happenings account.
  • Tick the pages Claude may work on, then approve.
The pages you tick are the limit. Claude cannot reach any other page, and on each page it can only do what your role allows.

Ask away

Talk to Claude the way you would talk to a co-organiser. A few to try:

“How are ticket sales going for Friday's party?”

“Create a draft event for our Halloween party on 31 October at 21:00 with 150 tickets at 60 kr.”

“Find the members who joined this month.”

“Use this photo as the cover for the Halloween event.”

The tools

Everything runs through the Happenings page CLI, so Claude has the whole toolbox without a long list of tools.

hap_help

Shows the commands and their options. Runs nothing.

hap_read

Reads events, sales, orders, members and more. It changes nothing, and it refuses any command that would.

hap_run

Makes a change on the page, like creating or publishing an event. Claude asks you before each one.

media_upload_widget

Opens an upload box for a photo, poster or logo, because Claude cannot pass a chat attachment on. Four small helper tools handle the upload behind it.

You stay in control

  • Changes happen for real on your live page, so Claude shows you what it will do and waits for your yes.
  • Your role on each page sets the limits. If you cannot do something in Connect, Claude cannot either.
  • Bank accounts, payouts and fees are never changed through Claude. Those stay in Connect.
  • The connection renews itself while you use it. It ends after 30 days without use, and a year after you connected at the latest.
  • Disconnect any time in Connect. Changing your password or signing out everywhere disconnects it too. Open AI settings in Connect

If something goes wrong

The login window does not open

Start a new chat and ask Claude something about your page. If nothing opens, remove the connector and add it again.

A page is missing

Claude only sees the pages you ticked. Disconnect in Connect, connect again and tick the page.

Claude says it was refused

Your role on that page does not allow it. Ask a page admin for the role, or do it in Connect.

Claude asks you to sign in again

The connection ended, because it went unused for 30 days, you signed out everywhere, or it was disconnected. Sign in and pick your pages again.

Privacy

Happenings Group A/S runs the connector. Claude only receives what you ask for, from the pages you picked, and every command it runs is logged. Read our privacy policy
